What is a HIP?
To comply with the requirements of The Housing Act 2004 every property offered For Sale on the open market has to have a Home Information Pack (HIP) prepared.
What is included in a HIP?

- A sale statement, which is the summary of terms of sale of the property.
- Evidence of title confirming ownership of the property.
- Standard searches, the local authority enquiries and a drainage and water search.
- The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which is the assessment of you property's energy efficiency rating carried out by a qulaified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
- Where appropiate, any commonhold information.
- In cases of leasehold property, a copy of the lease.
